Just adding some info. My motivation is to check and see if the Slovenian Kopa 700 terminal (a rebadged VT52, unfortunately it currently doesn't power on) contains custom Yugoslavian characters ("YUSCII") or not. Our VT100 (Kopa 1000) for example does feature custom EPROMs for that.
The markings on the Signetics PROM chip are: S 7748 CN0030I 23002B400
There is almost no info on Google on this chip and seeing your project I will go ahead and assume there is no way to read it directly with a XGecu programmer. Also since on our board everything looks "stock", I will assume that no customization was done in Yugoslavia for this terminal.
@fritzm, thanks for this project! We would love to replicate it some day but would need the FPGA-chargen interface schematics at the very least. Keep up the good work!
