fteqw and azerty keyboard

Hello,
I use an azerty keyboard.
On Hexen II, I can not access to the console with my keyboard.
Standard key to press to open console games on azerty keyboard is ², located in upperleft:

Pressing this key does nothing with fteqw
Same problem for others keys that are not available ingame for azerty users, like change inventory item, change weapon...
