I've enabled the status area indicators for Alt/Shift/Ctrl to try to figure out why none of my commands are working, and I realized that xkeymacs isn't able to get the status of my ctrl key. If I push Alt or Shift, the icons light up, but for ctrl I get nothing. I did change the mapping of caps lock to also be ctrl, but I did it using the keyboard layout option in xkeymacs so I wouldn't expect that to cause a problem.
Just in case it matters, I'm using a Logitech keyboard with their "unified" receiver.
