Hi,
I'm migrating to fvwm3 these days, currently on version 1.0.5. What would be the preferred solution to talk to a running fvwm instance, in particular so that the instance also gives some feedback? I run fvwm as
fvwm3 -v -o -
.Could not get FvwmConsole to report STDOUT, STDERR, or even sole
Echo
output in the console window. Checking results in a tail on.xsession-errors
feels slightly awkward.ncat on the FvwmMFL socket works, and with
set echo
at least provides some feedback.FvwmPrompt is not (yet?) available in Debian, which I am using. Does it handle STDOUT, STDERR,
Echo
output in a better way than FvwmConsole or ncat/FvwmMFL?Thanks!
