Device is Garmin Edge-1040
Garmin made a recent change and the Garmin no longer comes up as a native Disk on MAC
They have now switched to MTP

OpenMTP works very well on MAC Big Sur. ( openmtp-3.2.25-mac-x64.dmg)

But cannot get it to work on a MAC-MINI M4 running Sequoia 15.1.1
Running openmtp-3.2.25-mac-arm64.dmg

I see on your download page you show Apple Silicon M1/M2 so perhaps Perhaps there is something different on the M4 and will be included in future release ?

The solution for me was to make sure that Garmin Express was NOT OPEN.
Gotcha for me was that Garmin Express was installed as a start up app so lurking in the background
Stop Garmin Express and OpenMTP works perfectly
