What would you like to be added:
Currently, the customProperties type is JSONType

but it would be easier to work with if it used the actual customProperties JSON as the type.
Example:

Why is this needed:
Easier to work customProperties and codeData while coding in onInit and onRender.

Difficult to implement without grafana/grafana#53372
