Is it possible to copy the raw email sender instead of the id?

Not yet, I considered expanding this to more fields but that complicates things a little because I need to have multiple buttons/actions. Or alternatively fork this and have a separate plugin in for each field, but then I have to maintain each separately. I don't know when I would have time to explore this unfortunately.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by "raw email sender"? I assume you don't mean their name and email address, i.e. John Doe <[email protected]>

When I said "raw email sender", I meant just email only.

Of course, as you can see, this option exists and is built-in, but when you use it often, it's not convenient. Therefore, I am looking for a quick way to deal with email address copying.

Your extension copies the ID in a quick and smart way - that's why I thought about copying an email address in the same way

Some other extension (I think it was 'toggle panel favorites' or similar) do provide buttons that are hidden by default when the extension is installed... and the user must then add the button to some menubar using the normal menu cutomisation feature.

That could be an option for adding more buttons for (other) metadata fields without too much clutter: only the message id button would show y default, the orthers you could ask via the customisation interface.
