Why? Simple, the full power of windows on your face with leap motion OR even just a mouse and actual keyboard in a MUCH more comfortable form factor then a VR headset. (And as Mixed reality)

Side note, I'm wondering why you didn't tilt the Leap Motion down as it is on the NorthStar. How you have it positioned seems like you'd have to hold your hands up pretty high, or tilt your head down a lot to be in a comfortable position.
