Middle click blocked on bugs.chromium.org

With middle mouse scrolling enabled, middle clicking on any link on any bug/page on e.g. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/list shows the middle click scroll indicator rather than opening the link in a new tab (which is the default behaviour when middle mouse scrolling is disabled).

This is no doubt due to custom handling of links on bugs.chromium.org. But it would be great if middle clicking on these links could work properly even with middle mouse scrolling enabled like it does on most pages.
