API docs in one place

Currently we have the API documentation here in the Wiki and in the application. I propose we reduce it to one place.
E.g. we could maintain it here in the Wiki and import the Markdown into our application.

I started the docs in the wiki but then realized that, due to the lacking formatting options it became quite a mess. If you guys are able to get something pretty out of markdown i am oke with importing it :)
