Create a new instance of the gene product instance for each activity unit

Create a new instance of the gene product instance for each activity unit, rather than trying to reuse the same instance for all the activities it either enables or is an input for. That way these will fold into the activity unit. You can keep the current code but commented out just in case we decide to change back later.

This will likely revert changes made in issue #5.
