This should let us start with an empty Netbox device with a serial number and populate it with all the NICs on the server.

  • Naming does not matter, having it match the current distro is acceptable.
  • MAC addresses are assumed to be consistent between boots of the system.

This isn't secure.
This code is awful.
It however populates Netbox from an Alpine netboot image and the systems itself, saving me time with future systems.
