Commit 010f4d16 "GTK: refactor headerbar into separate Adwaita & GTK structs" disabled using the system titlebar #5127
-
Fedora 41 xfce...
This allows access to the "roll up" feature which allows you to hover over the titlebar and roll your mouse wheel up to collapse the window to just its titlebar. After commit 010f4d1 "GTK: refactor headerbar into separate Adwaita & GTK structs" I get no titlebar at all with the settings above. Turning gtk-titlebar back on gives the gtk titlebar as expected and you can get the "workspace" menu by right clicking on it but "Roll Window Up" is disabled and I use that a lot. Was disabling the system titlebar intentional? Can we get it back or get the roll-up working with the gtk titlebar? |

I'm also interested in restoring the old behavior. Fwiw here's my previous report about this: gh-4934 |

In tip it has been merged that ghostty now supports server side decorations instead of only client side this should end up working for you always in the future |

This discussion should be closed, since 1.1 ghostty supports server side decorations on wayland and at some point after that in tip ghostty also supports ssd for x11 please use tip or 1.1 if you are on wayland
There is no need to disable adwaita or disable gtk-titlebar
if ghostty detects you are on a non gnome desktop it will automatically attempt to use ssd decoration no configuration required

Like linked in a comment above try a build with #5533
(op even approved that PR so I assume it works just fine for them xfce)
