webhook_events_workflow_job_queue messages increase continuously

We are running on GHES 3.14.0, using the latest v5.16.4 release with custom AMIs.

I noticed, that the messages on the webhook_events_workflow_job_queue increase gradually, no matter if the executed job was successful or not.

I was not able to find any automated cleanup functionality somewhere. is this supposed to be this way or is there some kind of cleanup? Does this hurt the long-time stability of the whole solution?
