With the goal of enabling #1126. Here is a list of minor factual and technical errors relating to instance hyponyms that can be corrected to improve the mapping.

  • oewn-09555948-n: Arhant is a synonym of Buddha oewn-09556053-n
  • oewn-09583555-n: 'Damon and Pythias' can be removed as we have 'Damon' oewn-10941631-n and 'Pythias' oewn-11253585-n
  • oewn-09613946-n: 'Valkyrie' is not a proper noun. Lowercase lemma and make the relation a non-instance hyponym
  • oewn-09512920-n: 'Martian' should not be an instance hyponym
  • oewn-11394584-n: 'Charles Dudley Warner' was a 19th-century American Writer. The definition clearly refers to 'Harry Morris Warner'
  • oewn-10885972-n: 'Michael Stuart Brown' is a 20th century nobel laureate. The definition clearly refers to 'Robert Brown'.
  • oewn-09625784-n: 'pantaloon' is not a proper noun. Lowercase lemma and make relation a non-instance hyponym
  • oewn-11292405-n: 'Charlotte de Rothschild' is a lemma, but definition is 'any of family of powerful Jewish bankers in Europe'. Remove this lemma
  • oewn-09542327-n: 'Mama - a name under which Ninkhursag was worshipped, meaning 'Mother''. Merge with Ninkhursag oewn-09544015-n
  • oewn-09549740-n: 'Ka - unknown god; an epithet of Prajapati and Brahma'. Merge with Prajapati oewn-09550841-n
  • oewn-10838073-n: 'Anne' is only lemma. Add 'Anne of Great Britain', 'Anne Stuart'
  • oewn-10971689-n ; oewn-11252465-n: 'Duke of Windsor'/'Duke of Edinburgh' do not refer to current holder. This should be remodeled based on 'Prince of Wales' oewn-10493502-n
  • oewn-09595603-n: 'Titan' not an instance hyponym
  • oewn-09616218-n: 'Ulysses - (Roman mythology) Roman spelling for Odysseus' Merge with 'Odysseus' oewn-09616022-n
  • oewn-11037983-n: 'Guiseppe Guarneri' should be 'Giuseppe Guarneri
  • oewn-09558366-n: 'Kami' not instance hyponym
  • oewn-09630085-n: 'Ananias - a habitual liar (after a New Testament character who was struck dead for lying)'. Definition should focus on the New Testament character
  • oewn-10912168-n: 'Prince Charles - the eldest son of Elizabeth II and heir to the English throne (born in 1948)'. Update lemmas and definitions
  • oewn-01271379-n: 'Aegospotamos - a river in ancient Thrace (now Turkey); in the mouth of this river the Spartan fleet under Lysander destroyed the Athenian fleet in the final battle of the Peloponnesian War (404 BC)'. Definition refers to river, but the synset is the battle.
  • oewn-01298019-n: 'Battle of the Somme - battle of World War II (1944)'. No such battle in WWII. We have different synsets for the same named battle in WWI and the Battle of the Bulge in WWII.

  • oewn-01272836-n: 'Corregidor - the peninsula and island in the Philippines where Japanese forces besieged American forces in World War II; United States forces surrendered in 1942 and recaptured the area in 1945' Definition should refer to battle
  • oewn-08893294-n: 'Anglia: the Latin name for England' merge with England
  • oewn-08808205-n: 'Arcadia, Arcadia Aegypti: a department of Greece in the central Peloponnese' - second lemma is incorrect
  • oewn-09000531-n: 'TT, Republic of Palau, Palau: a republic in the western central Pacific Ocean in association with the United States' - TT is not a correct lemma. Probably was meant to be TTPI but this is also incorrect
  • oewn-11207920-n: 'Josef Michel Montgolfier, Montgolfier: French inventor who (with his brother Jacques Etienne Montgolfier) pioneered hot-air ballooning (1740-1810)' - Joseph not Josef
  • oewn-08979456-n: 'Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Libya: a military dictatorship in northern Africa on the Mediterranean; consists almost entirely of desert; a major exporter of petroleum' needs updating
  • oewn-11412363-n: 'Wilson, Harriet E. Wilson, Harriet Wilson: author of the first novel by an African American that was published in the United States (1808-1870)' change to (1825-1900)
  • oewn-08974748-n: 'Joseon, Chosen: the name for Korea as a Japanese province (1910-1945)' change hypernym to 'colony' or 'territory'
  • oewn-08728511-n: 'Bermuda, Bermudas: a group of islands in the Atlantic off the Carolina coast; British colony; a popular resort' weird to have the island group but not the country of the same name
  • oewn-09054580-n: Helvetia: the Latin name for Switzerland - merge with Switzerland
  • oewn-09175156-n: 'Spotsylvania, Spotsylvania County: a village in northeastern Virginia where battles were fought during the American Civil War' - the village is called 'Spotsylvania Courthourse', change hypernym to county' and remove lemma
  • oewn-09020171-n: 'Singapore, capital of Singapore: the capital of Singapore; one of the world's biggest ports' - Singapore is both a city and a country, it does not need two synsets
  • oewn-04621729-n: 'zeppelin, Graf Zeppelin: a large rigid dirigible designed to carry passengers or bombs' not an instance
  • oewn-08893163-n: 'Albion: archaic name for England or Great Britain; used poetically' - merge
