XIVLauncher tanks entire computer when launched on linux. (bug)

I'm using linux mint 22 (wilma) and when I install xivlauncher through discover or flathub it freezes my computer. If I'm lucky it's only the kde ui that is affected but sometimes I just have to restart my computer. When I am able to log in theres a problem of the mouse glitching out, I cannot click anything and can only use controller, it flicks between the computer mouse icon and the ingame icon rapidly when I try to use it. I also cant use the add game feature on steam, it seems to be invisible and when I try and check the file location it links to something in /var/ (im not familiar with linux layouts) and if I try and add it manually, it does not open when I try to.
I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to send this kind of thing, but I want to use the software.

I've figures out that it ends up simulating holding the alt key when I open it, I figured this out because I had alt bound to moving and resizing a window. How do you fix this?
