The vendored influxdb obsolete and the code does not build against newer versions

The vendored influxdb is more than 29 months old and the code does not build against newer versions

Please update to 1.5.0 or newer release

Ill put this in my backlog of things to do. Of course, I would be happy to review a PR which does this as well.
