It would be great to have yamlfmt into Debian and other Debian-based Linux distributions.

Not debian but, in the same spirit, I sent a PR for Alpine Linux: https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/merge_requests/68120

I don't think I personally will have the capacity to do all the work required to get it upstreamed into Debian. I'm happy to try and support if someone wants to take the helm on it, but I don't think I'm going to be able to myself any time soon.
