Deleting series in long-term storage

Hi!

I need to delete some data points for time series that were reported incorrectly due to errors in the applications. I found this issue that hasn't had any particular activity in a while, is this in the plans for a future version of Mimir at the moment?

Furthermore, is anyone able to confirm that it's possible to use thanos tools for this as described in their documentation and recommended in the issue, or are there any special considerations for Mimir's blocks?
