Idea: Separate retention period just for exemplars

What is the problem you are trying to solve?

Exemplars beyond a certain time are usually not used very much. Metric on the other hand can be used for a long time to analyze past trends. Usually, people don't store traces as long as they store metrics. So when some one tries to open an exemplar from a long time ago they won't find the trace.

Having a separate retention period for exemplars.
