This is still an experimental feature and behind a flag in chrome, but according to this file handling will ship later this year.

There is already a POC in the file-handling branch of this project. It still needs some love:

Custom file icons 😅 (Adlerkopp is pretty but does not make nice file icons)
Opening multiple files at once
Opening a file, while PAA Converter is already open, should "add" the file to the already open window. Currently a new window is opened
