• the dropdown menu besides activate button does not trigger

not sure this counts as a proper bug or just dev shenanigans xd.

also a misc. query, I don't typically use discord so I haven't checked there yet.

is there a discord channel for requesting games be added to the database?

I can't remember the first example, but I was just making a list of flash/html game remakes on steam and neon rider classic (appid: 2757770) doesn't show up here or on steam-backlog.com

Thanks for bringing this up. This page shouldn't exist, and is just a leftover from the design process. Just a bug because its a page without any functionality.

For adding games to the database (which is a whole topic on its own), if the game is on steam, it will be added eventually, there is a bot adding games from steam. Games owned by users are usually added in less than 48 hours. If is a game that is not on steam, the games are added when someone searches for them and exists in the IGDB database. If the game is new and not in IGDB yet, then the game should be added first to IGDB.

I plan on creating some king of documentation where things like this are explained a little bit, because even if not everyone is interested in those topics, some users like you would like to know how the site works, and transparency is always a good thing.

The only problem is that i'm the only developer on the site and i don't have time for everything xd.

Returning to the bug, i will fix it and solve asap.

I have fixed this issue and pushed it into the beta environment.
If you go to https://beta.backlog.rip/account you (or any user) will be redirected to /account/me which is the main account page.

I will leave this issue open until pushed to production.

About your other question regarding the database of games, i have searched for 2757770 on the database, and it don't shows up in any database. I have three databases: games, blacklist and queue.

The steam games are periodically added to our database, 200 games a day. But there are thousands of games on steam so this system is not even close to match the whole steam database. To prioritize, when an user logs in and has any missing game in their library, this is added to the queue and will be added automatically to the database in the next few days.

Finally, the last way to add a game to the database is searching for it. If you search the game by its exact name, and its in the IGDB database, the reference is also added to the site.
