Hi Guy Another dumb question. Do I need to re-enter the local farming drives on the controller, again, or is this an additive process? ie does docker-compose get appended, or am I building it from scratch each time? |

Also, another question. I see that on my controller / farmer that there are plots with green checkmarks and there are a few that have amber x's, I believe, indicating they are bad. There are a number of plots that are blank, having neither the green check of the amber x. What does this indicate? |

Here is another one for you. Have you ever seen phantom plots? I seem to have a bunch of plots that the system has picked up, but that I can't find when I scroll through the drives to locate them. |

Hi, so you have a fairly complicated deployment. I would suggest you first start only the Chia blockchain and get that working before you try to launch all the other blockchains. Looking at your Then issue this in a Powershell from within the folder holding the updated Then browse to http://localhost:8926 Hope this helps, |

Hi Guy Got rid of most everything, except Chia and NChain, although MMX is still showing up. Not sure why. version: '3.7' The farmer is running and Chia is syncing. Going to take a while. |

Yes, please get Chia running cleanly, fully synced, on the fullnode (Machinaris controller) without any other blockchains. Also, hold off on adding Worker (harvesters) until Chia fullnode is fully synced. The primary reason for this staged deployment is that it makes it simpler to diagnose issues as you bring up one component at a time, rather than launching a multi-worker, multi-blockchain deployment across your LAN in one shot. Yes, you can ignore the error above. This exists in the current Machinaris v0.7.1 release but has been fixed already in the upcoming release. |

I am trying to setup a harvester at the moment. The machine is seen from the controller but the plots are not showing. I think it has to do with the certificates. How do i import the certificates from my controller to the harvester in machinaris, or are they needed? |

Great, the workflow to set up a Chia harvester in Machinaris is as follows:
Ensure you complete step 3 within 30 minutes of step 2. This will allow for automatic copying of the farmer's certificates to the harvester on startup of the Machinaris container allowing the connection. NOTE: If you spend more than 30 minutes between steps 2 and 3, just click the New Worker button again to restart the clock. To troubleshoot harvester start & connect, please see the wiki. |

Hi Guy, This is the .yml file for my controller: This is the .yml file for my worker Master-Bedroom: These seem to be working now, but there are a bunch of "orphans" showing up in the Workers page on the controller, that I removed from the Master-Bedroom instance using the commands you gave me previously. (Pretty much the same ones to update Machinaris. Here is a screenshot of the workers page:
Would like to get rid of the orphans, if possible. Also, am I right to assume that the fork's blockchain must be up to date before you add it to the harvesters? Cheers |

To remove stale worker entries, select them on the Workers page and click 'Prune Selected'. If they come back within 10 minutes, then they are not stale and currently running on your LAN. You can connect harvesters before the fullnode is fully synced, but you won't be farming until fully synced. Hope this helps. |

There seems to be an issue with the Mater-Bedroom. I pruned the workers, as suggested, and all but Chia and nChain disappeared. I now have two instances of these, but when I check Master-Bedroom, there is only Portainer and Machinaris running in Docker. |

No worries, glad to help. So, looking at the screenshot there are two Workers in the table showing Connection Refused state. These are probably stale from a previous launch with an earlier misconfiguration. I would recommend selecting those two rows and clicking the 'Prune Selected' button. I can see two working rows with similar hostname & blockchain values so those 'Responding' rows are probably the current good records. Note, you can look for running containers in Portainer to help identify the issue. As for finding missing plots, try the following:

Hi Guy Loaded up the docker-compose.yml file to the Linux machine and it knows the drives are there, but I am getting a "connection timeout" error. I have pruned them and they came straight back. I have stopped the machinaris container on the Linux machine and restarted it. Still came back "connection timeout". Not sure where to look to see where the problem lies. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers |

Hi, so I'm going to assume that you actually have a computer which you've named 'ChiaServer-3' for shorthand. The Please go back to the Workers page and click the "New Worker" button. Complete the full form, including the "Worker Address" field.
Then ensure that the IP address of the worker you type in appears as the environment variable

Will give it a try a bit later. Still having issues with the plots not showing up. If you look at the summary it shows 875 plots for Chia and 1497 for other forks. The 622 that are missing are on ChiaFarmer, the controller. The farming page, with the plots listing, only has 450 plots displayed.
Here is the copy of the Docker-Compose.yml version: '3.7' Now, I just checked again and there are zero plots on the farming page, but they do show up on the summary page and on the index page.
I am not sure if this has anthing to do with it, but there are warnings on the farming page, where you can check individual harvesters. This is one example. If you look, it also shows that there are a number of plots being harvested. 2022-05-24T03:32:30.709 harvester chia.harvester.harvester: INFO 0 plots were eligible for farming c5ceacefda... Found 0 proofs. Time: 0.00968 s. Total 137 plots and another one with the same warnings, and you can see the plots being harvested: 022-05-24T03:35:45.903 harvester chia.harvester.harvester: INFO 0 plots were eligible for farming c5ceacefda... Found 0 proofs. Time: 0.02462 s. Total 271 plots Don't know if these warnings are contributing to the problem, or not. The other problem I am having is that I don't think I have my plotting set up correctly, as nothing seems to be showing up in plotting. Again, I am not sure how to properly set it up and I am too thick to make sense of the documentation. Cheers |

Hi, we seem to have take a step backwards so let's simplify the deployment again and slowly build up your entire LAN deployment, one step at a time. At each step, either remove/add the section from the After each edit, this is how you'll restart Machinaris:
I understand this takes time, but a sequential process to deploy will ensure a problem can be identified in a single step, by going back one step the previous working deployment configuration.
