Overview

We need to design MVP option # 1 (text below color box) of the Design System Colors section in Figma, based on our discussions and preference votes in the Wed 8/25 meeting, so that we can narrow down our options for final Colors section options.

Action Items

  • Make a duplicate of original draft (Anh's) and move it to the "Draft v2" column to its right in Figma
  • make adjustments:
    • Adapt draft to include variant colors and other categories
      • Use the blue color palette from our buttons for the primary colors and variants
      • If you want you can follow the categories in Danielle's design in the purple rectangle, which has been updated to include Anastasia'a categories and others we discussed at our meeting. The actual 'secondary' colors themselves etc. are placeholders until we design the component library and more components, so feel free to adjust the colors as you like.
    • Include color names (in 'design token' format- 'blue-100' etc)
    • Test how it would look if usage line is longer for colors that have several usage examples (longer than one line). Adjust layout to accommodate if necessary.

Please provide an update:

  1. Progress: "What is the current status of this ticket? What have you completed and what is left to do?"
  2. Blockers: "Difficulties or errors encountered."
  3. Availability: "How much time will you have this week to work on this issue?"
  4. ETA: "When do you expect this issue to be completed?"

If you need help, be sure to either: 1) ask for help at your next meeting, 2) put a "Status: Help Wanted" label on your issue or 3) put up a request for assistance on the #design-systems slack channel.
