Why should this be removed?

The default LocalTuya repo, https://github.com/rospogrigio/localtuya has lost development momentum, lacking any substantive updates over the last few years.
At the time of writing, there are 1.2k issues logged and 117 open PRs.

Recommended replacement with https://github.com/xZetsubou/hass-localtuya

xZetsubou's fork has significantly improved and advanced the original project.
It's regularly maintained, well managed and brings a highly engaged lead developer and community.
https://github.com/xZetsubou/hass-localtuya

xZetsubou's fork is over 500 commits ahead of the upstream project at the time of writing.
