Encounter "No permission" error when performing HMY CLI governance actions on staking-mainnet #277
Comments
FYI @LuttyYang |
Same thing happened with me today. https://discord.com/channels/532383335348043777/865514589626433577/921458721534660669 I tried to vote on HIP-17 just now via CLI and after entering my passphrase I get "error: no permission!" I voted the other day on the BLS keys HIP and it worked. Worked
Did not work
|
After my test, it works normal, my current guess is a short rpc error, Can you try again? @samhsiung @greenstakeone |
@LuttyYang I can perform actions on other spaces like dao-testnet or dao-mainnet but not staking-mainnet. Were you able to test successfully against staking-mainnet? Currently I voted on all existing proposals via browser extensions so I need to wait for a new proposal to test. One way to test may be to create a validator with the minimum 10k ONEs stake and see if it lets you vote on staking-mainnet. |
fyi it seems that some people encountered the same issue as well https://discord.com/channels/532383335348043777/755216571848196167/921436338975289384 |
@LuttyYang other validators are still reporting they cannot vote via CLI |
@LuttyYang @LeoHChen is it possible to get 10k ONE from harmony foundation to setup a validator for testing against staking-mainnet since the issue is only reproducible on that space and not the test spaces? |
I was able to vote on 2 proposals, then unable to vote again, not sure what happened. |
@LuttyYang I tried voting again and the error message has changed slightly FYI:
|
I got the same message too |
I have the same message too and can't vote via cli |
I'm unable to vote or create proposals on staking-mainnet despite being an elected validator using address one1x8fhymx4xsygy4dju9ea9vhs3vqg0u3ht0nz74
The actions work on dao-testnet however.
