Call stacks for Error

Is having call stacks for the Error effect a perk of using runtime exceptions for the implementation, or could effect systems with different implementations just as easily have call stacks? It seems to be a feature unique to effectful so far.

I think so. Error in effectful gets the call stack and attaches is to an exception, but short-circuiting with it ExceptT-style or with a continuation would work as well.
