Player speed in terms of top running speed? Or animation speed for actions? I definitely get the sense that our attack animations are too fast. |
All of them, in fact, but running speed was what I originally had concerns about. I do definitely agree that our attack animations are too fast and not fluid, it looks clunky and jittery. |
Does #2129 help with jerky attacks? I've always thought the running speed was a bit zoom-y (and I never understood who'd use the super speed cheat) so don't mind if we change it as long as it doesn't affect the timing of jumps etc. |
Was player speed altered in the tile collision branch? I felt it was a bit different but it could have been my imagination. Also #1978 suggested that player acceleration was a bit slow so maybe getting up to speed takes too long but once you're there it's too fast? |
Anyone else think that the player speed in the game is too fast? I've been playing various platformers recently for inspiration and I've noticed that our game seems a lot faster than a lot of them (i.e. Cave Story, Frogatto, Super Mario, Braid)
