I wanted to share some feedback regarding role management and access control — a topic I believe is critical for the platform’s further development.
At the moment, there doesn't seem to be a clear system for managing roles and permissions. When I invited a user via link, they were automatically assigned the role of "Employee" or "Worker", and later became a "Client" after being linked to a deal.
Additionally, there is currently no restriction on document access: any invited user can edit any visible document in the Documents section and interact with documents in other modules as well. As a result, all invited users effectively have the same level of access by default.
There is a "Guest" role, but it currently functions more like a tag or label rather than an actual role with defined permissions.
Here are a few suggestions that would help improve this functionality:
It would be great if the Guest role could be used to grant limited access — such as the ability to communicate, create tasks (optionally), and read only specific documents and cards within sections.
Customizable permission sets for different roles would be extremely helpful and should be configurable in the settings.
I also recall your team mentioning the upcoming feature for creating “communities” — this sounds very promising, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how it will work.
A dedicated module for managing roles and access rights is also something that many users, including myself, are eagerly awaiting.
Thank you for your hard work and continuous improvements to Huly!

Hello Huly Team,
I wanted to share some feedback regarding role management and access control — a topic I believe is critical for the platform’s further development.

Best regards,
Eduard
