wont let me define my own symbol width

im not clear on why the plugin changes the width of the symbol (resets to 543px) when i update dimensions… shouldnt this adjust the artboard of the symbol the same way it resizes the instances to fit the content?

what are the fixes to be expected here?
there no longer is "update dimensions" in the menu to adjust the original symbol in the menu.
are u infering the paddings from the nested text object within the symbol without names like 12:12:12:12? (what if theres more than one)

also the resizing of the instance actually makes the symbol larger than intended…
