Deployment plan behavior when upgrading contracts

Deploying contracts seems under control, but a few things could be improved when some parts of a protocols are being re-deployed. For example. Re-deploying a contract on testnet, that rely on a requirement is particularly challenging - the references to the mainnet contract have to be find/replace manually.
