Auto delete option after restart #2918
Comments
Do you mean clearing the system clipboard or the items stored in CopyQ? For clearing clipboard in intervals, there is Clear Clipboard After Interval command (see README.md for details on how to add the command). You can disable Save Items option for specific tabs. Such tabs would be kept only in the main memory (and not stored on disk) and cleared after an interval (the unload interval is in History config tab) or after the app is closed/restarted/reconfigured. |

Do this setting mean, that everything in the tab will be stored until the
next restart of the system / reboot of system?
On Windows it seems, it stores only the last 3 Copys. I tried to change the
maximum Numbers of items, but it stores only 3 items.
Something like this would be really helpful (if it would store such many
items which are configured in the "Maximum number of items".

Yes, if you disable the Save Items option. But the items will also be dropped when you exit the app or change the configuration.
The number of items can be configured in History config section, and also set specifically for each tab in the Tabs config sections. BTW, if you wanted to post a screenshot, it does not show in GitHub. |
Hello everyone,
As a non-programmer, I find it quite difficult to implement an auto-delete function for the clipboard after restarting the device (or the software). Therefore, I would really appreciate a user-friendly solution that addresses the following:
Suggestion:
Thank you for this amazing software and all the hard work you put into it! I hope this suggestion can be considered for future updates.
Best regards,
Hewal
