Feedback

As a newbie I had no chance to get my ConBee stick up and running. The Phoscon part was easy: Adding Zigbee sensors worked instantly.
BUT: The connection between Phoscon and HA was a black box that required a lot of Google. The manual only tells:
Follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup. But it would need two more lines:

  • Information about the HOST: As a HA noob I had no idea. Shoud be "core-deconz"
  • Information about the PORT: The default is 80 which is missleading. Shoud be "40850"
Don't know, where this info can be found in Phoscon...

I wanted to fill in the missing pieces but when I edited the file via the link at the bottom, the content did not match the official documentatio (?).

Thanks,
Andy

Hey there @Kane610, mind taking a look at this feedback as it has been labeled with an integration (deconz) you are listed as a code owner for? Thanks!

Hello. When using the addon you should get a "discovered" deconz instance that should provide that information magically. Did that not happen?

Which content had a mismatched to the documentation?

Hi @Kane610,

No, I did not get any new discovered components / messages :(
Thats why I had to set it up manually. If this should happen automagically, it would still be nice to know where to find host/port info. No clue why autodiscovery did not happen. This worked for other devices...

About the documentation: That's my fault. I was searching for the "Manual configuration steps" box and its content, but this is hidden inside the "{% include integrations/config_flow.md %}" macro... (which is not Deconz specific (?) ).
