In Firefox 55 Beta on Ubuntu Gnome 17.04, the hamburger menu does not show Firefox sync correctly. Also, the sync part of Firefox preferences does not display. Please see attached screenshots.

Can also confirm as a 55 user, it seems to be a little broken.

This has been like that for the last 3 months as a Nightly user, but the about:preferences page changed a lot recently, and the “Sync” page (now called “Firefox Account”) works again in Nightly.

However it’s still broken in the hamburger menu. And you’re also seeing #121.

My conclusion is that theming for Firefox is going through a turbulent area currently, and you should either stay on stable or use the standard theme.

I'm seeing the same breakage in Firefox 54.0 (the current stable) in Fedora 25.

I have been observing that since 53 actually, when I switched to Manjaro, my Sync did not work. I thought it was an issue with Manjaro build, but later realised it was Arc.

Firefox 54.0 Stable on Arch doesn't work either.

Confirmed here too from people in our community. Sync not working on Linux Lite 3.2 32bit and 64bit (Ubuntu 16.04 base). Firefox 54.0

@ALL: Firefox full theming is dead and gone. Only Personas remains. So the best we can have is a Persona theme using Arc colours.

Firefox Photon with Arc Colors looks pretty nice, here's what I've been using, add it to prefs.js:
user_pref("lightweightThemes.usedThemes", "[{\"id\":\"849160\",\"name\":\"Arc Dark Lightweight\",\"headerURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/849160/header.png?1504072638\",\"footerURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/849160/footer.png?1504072638\",\"textcolor\":\"#ffffff\",\"accentcolor\":\"#82858b\",\"iconURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/849160/icon.png?1504072638\",\"previewURL\":\"https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/849160/preview.png?1504072638\",\"author\":\"Jaden Peterson\",\"description\":\"Lightweight theme that integrates with the title-bar of the Arc Dark / Darker GTK themes.\",\"updateURL\":\"https://versioncheck.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/themes/update-check/849160\",\"version\":\"1.0\"}]");

Have you uploaded it to AMO?

@jadenPete

No they flagged it as too similar to another even though the colors were quite different :/

To which one? https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/arc-theme-windows-theme/ or https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/adwaita-arc/?src=ss ?

Both looks strange here… Tab color is OK but toolbar is not.

I think it was the first, though it won't show me anymore. The colors look similar but different when you apply the real theme. Which is exactly why I created my theme.

Mozilla finally separated density from colors, so you can have the default theme (that now follows system GTK colors) with compact mode if you want. That’s what I do, and it looks very nice. :)
