Zone file creation - domain with ns pointed to Hostinger

I'm left wondering if I can use the API to automate migration of domains to my VPS account.

If I attempt to create a record using the Zone API for a domain that does not have a zone file, will this automatically create the zone file on Hostinger's auth ns?

Is there a method to first create a zone file?
