I'm running inference on LLaMa with an AWS EC2 p3.8 instance featuring four V100 GPUs. I am able to get the 16b and 7b models to run in FP16 format as expected using the provided inference server. For example, the following command works just fine:
I can chat with LLaMa 13b all day with that command, so long as I'm willing to pay for it.
However, I run into problems attempting to run the same model in 8bit quantization format:
This command will load the model and run the provided server successfully. Here is example output from the server command line:
