It would be useful to have built-in telemetry for each step to allow some kind of metrics gathering about things like...

Total Duration
Time Spent Downloading Container/Executable
Time Spent Starting
Time Spent Finishing

There are other useful metrics but these are system based that I believe Nomad already exposes (CPU/MEMORY/IO) .
