Problem:

Manually searching and following hundreds of accounts from the fediverse instances is a bad UX. Additionally, there's no straightforward way to export followed accounts from the reader in a format that Mastodon can import.

TODOs:

  • Currently, we can export followed accounts from fediverse instances in .csv format, which contains the account address and three other fields, but no timestamps. We should extract the account addresses from the .csv during the import operation, set the follow dates to the new/current date, and generate-set a new .json file.

  • Also would be good to be able to export from the reader in a format that Mastodon could import; a separate button.

Maybe use the unminified script of something like: https://github.com/iuccio/csvToJson
