This issue can be solved by renaming 15.5 to 15.8.
Just download the 15.5 zip from https://github.com/JinjunHan/iOSDeviceSupport/blob/master/iOSDeviceSupport/15.5.zip and rename it to 15.8. After that, 15.8 version device should be run without errors

great solution, fastest.
I might add that only 15.5 works (tried with the 15.7 and it doesn't work)

The 15.8 also didn't work. Copying 15.5 as 15.8 still works.

I'm using Xcode 14.2.

When you unzip, do you have to do anything else? Does it need to be in the same directory as the ifakelocation file? I unzipped in my downloads folder and renamed the directory to 15.8 and then reloaded ifakelocation. Still getting the IOS is not supported error. I'm clearly missing something!

You have to go to the folder where you have the device supported. You should go here: Open Finder -> Applications -> Scroll to Xcode -> Right Click -> Show Package Contents -> Contents -> Developer -> Platforms -> iPhoneOS.platform -> DeviceSupport This is the list of devices folder support for your Xcode

I am unable to do these next steps after renaming the folder to 15.8. There is no Xcode available under the Applications. I tried ifl (app) and went to show package contents. There is only a Bin folder there. Can someone please assist with it
