Code of Conduct

The AWS Projects repository aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all contributors. We expect all participants to adhere to the following code of conduct. By participating in this repository, you agree to follow these guidelines and contribute to creating a positive and respectful community.

1. Be Respectful and Inclusive

Treat all individuals with respect and consideration, regardless of their background, experience level, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, or any other personal characteristic. Respect diverse opinions and engage in constructive discussions.

2. Be Collaborative and Supportive

Encourage collaboration and support fellow contributors. Offer assistance and guidance to those who need it, and be open to receiving feedback and suggestions. Together, we can create a vibrant and supportive community.

3. Maintain a Welcoming Environment

Create an environment where everyone feels welcome and safe to participate. Avoid using offensive, derogatory, or discriminatory language or behavior. Be mindful of the impact your words and actions may have on others.

4. Respect Privacy and Confidentiality

Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others. Do not share personal or sensitive information without explicit consent. Similarly, do not disclose any confidential or proprietary information that could jeopardize the security or integrity of the repository.

5. Focus on the Issue

When discussing issues, pull requests, or other project-related topics, stay focused on the matter at hand. Avoid personal attacks, and refrain from engaging in arguments or debates unrelated to the project.

6. Report Issues

If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this code of conduct, please report it immediately. Contact the project owner or maintainers through the GitHub repository's issue tracker or by email. All reports will be treated with confidentiality and will be reviewed and addressed promptly.

7. Enforcement

In the event of a violation of this code of conduct, repository maintainers reserve the right to take appropriate action, including issuing warnings, temporary or permanent bans, or any other actions deemed necessary. The severity and consequences of the violation will be considered when determining the appropriate course of action.

8. Harassment or discrimination

Harassment or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated, you hear? If you are the victim of harassment or discrimination, or if you witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, report it to the project maintainers at Twitter.

Thank you for helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for the proctl project!
