accesibility of the notifications

Hello,

I was wondering if it is ok to create a pr for adding a bit of accessibility to the notifications? In my opinion adding role="alert" to the notification item would give the opportunity to screen readers to pick up each time when a notification is created.

Is a plan to support this feature or would you be ok if I try to implement it myself and make a pr out of it?
