Relevant: Recent versions of Ubuntu and Mint have already made KA Lite de facto impossible (arguably for very good reason, almost 5 years after Python 2.7 end-of-life!) Whereas Debian 13 "Trixie" and Raspberry Pi OS 13 "Trixie" will do likewise shortly (by/around mid-2025) so we should begin to think over how to navigate the consequences...

My view is that neither kalite or kolibri should have install or enabled true in default vars, so that there is no need to turn them off in local vars where they are not wanted, such as none, medical, or starter.
With the transition away from Python 2.7-based KA Lite increasingly now upon us:
