IMDAVI is a word play with with the words Immersive (IM), Data (DA) and Visualization (VI). Besides expressing the area of study of this group, the "acronym" also plays with the name Davi, a Portuguese variation of the name David that means "beloved".
Despite not being strict about how to pronnounce the acronym, we usually refer to the research group as "I M DAVI" (IPA: aɪ æm davɪ
).
Everyone is welcome to contribute on our projects with issues and pull-requests. We still don't have guidelines and coding patterns but we encourage to check each project before submitting pull requests.
All of out projects are under the MIT License and can be used accordingly.
While we can't guarantee full support with issues, the encouraged way of reporting them is to open Github issues inside the projects. We promise to do our best to address them but since our projects are maintained by researchers and students it can take a little bit of time to have them fixed.
Currently, our members are students and researchers from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Campinas but we would gladly discuss about having new members from other institutions joining and contributing with our study area.
