Very curious if anyone else has this working. |

I'll be damned -- I figured it out, I think. So many guides say to open /etc/nvidia-container-runtime/config.toml and set no-cgroups = true. I just changed it to false, and restarted docker. Now I see results in nvidia-smi when I force a re-encode. If you're having issues with hardware encoding, try this test: You should see the normal nvidia-smi output like my above screenshot. This worked for me, even though Immich transcoding did not. Now try: You might see the following error: Update the cgroups setting and that might just fix your issues like it did mine (hopefully.) |

Pretty happy with this. Forced a full batch re-trancode. ![]() I could probably set concurrency to 20 or 30 threads based on this performance. |

@scrampker I know Its a bit off-topic but how did you get your GPU Idle down to 3 Watts? Mine never drops under 13 |

The bug
Transcoding works just fine in Plex, so I assume the Proxmox host and LXC are set up correctly, but my logs are always full of errors. I've resorted to using CPU-everything for months, but I'd love to finally figure this out. There are likely others in the same boat as me.
