Definitely.
Just switch to vanilla (v4.12+) which has most of the parts supported for Edison.

Also consider Yocto based distro https://github.com/htot/meta-intel-edison cooked by @htot.

Can you pull a string and somehow move this forward. I would archive it and recommend people to use https://github.com/edison-fw/meta-intel-edison one, however unofficial.

@rzr Actually that one is outdated. We agreed with @htot that he will use vanilla + selected patches directly in Yocto recipe.
