Because easy-dotfiles during its import action will override the files you configured, there is a recommendation to ALWAYS have a proper backup solution in place for the linux desktops you're installing the project on.
Timeshift, Rescuezilla or Redo Rescue are solid starting points if you don't know what tool to use. Just make sure that you fully backup all of your System files and all of your HOME .dotfiles.
