General question about the name gliderdac:3.0

General question on the version number for this plugin. Is there a version 3 of the https://ioos.github.io/glider-dac/ngdac-netcdf-file-format-version-2 or would it be better to possibly rename this to gliderdac:2.0 to better conform with the other templates being tested? Would it break any pipelines or workflows if this was renamed to gliderdac:2.0. This seems related to ioos/compliance-checker#543. Maybe this is : gliderdac:2.0 (3.0)?

Actually, I think there was a process started. I see some v3.0 templates here. Anyway. Is the documentation for v3.0 being deferred in hopes of OG-1.0?
