About (CV)

I am a professor in the Department of Statistics at Iowa State University. My research focuses on Bayesian inference typically accomplished through computational methods such as Markov chain Monte Carlo and sequential Monte Carlo (SMC). I received a PhD in Statistical Science from Duke University in 2009, an MS in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota in 2005, and a Bachelors of Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1999. I worked in a Drosophila genetics lab from 2001-2003 and before that at Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio as a Research Engineer from 1999-2001. Originally, I am from Duluth, Minnesota and attended Marshall School. I now live in Ames, Iowa. Go Clones!
