  • Implementation PR:

Summary

This proposes a follow-up chat feature within the context of a word's meaning on jargons.dev, enabling users to interact with jargons.dev AI for further clarification or a deeper understanding of the word. This feature will be seamlessly integrated into the word UI, allowing users to ask follow-up questions in real time.

Motivation

While definitions and examples provided on jargons.dev offer foundational knowledge, users may need additional explanations or context-specific clarifications for certain terms. The follow-up chat feature will:

  1. Allow users to bridge the gap between definitions and practical understanding.
  2. Make the learning process more interactive and personalized.
  3. Enhance engagement by providing a conversational interface directly within the dictionary.

Goal

  • Build and integrate a lightweight, intuitive follow-up chat interface feature within the word meaning UI on jargons.dev.
  • Leverage the jargons.dev AI RAG application to provide context-aware responses based on the dictionary content.
  • Ensure the chat interface:
    • Automatically contextualizes the current word the user is exploring.
    • Supports multiple follow-up questions while maintaining conversational flow.
    • Tracks user engagement for potential improvements.
