How to disable auto fetching for tags

This is the command I use to add new bookmarks:

buku --np -a <url> <comma separated tags> -c <comment>

This works but sometimes, when bookmarking youtube videos, buku fetches also the tags and the bookmarks end up with a lot of tags I don't want (that's why I'm explicitly adding my own tags when running the command), this happens for some youtube videos. Now of course I can then update the book mark replacing all the current tags by my own list but this is repetitive.

The auto fetch for tags seems ok if tags are not included when adding a new bookmark, but if I'm explicitly adding my own tags then I would expect the bookmark contains only my tags.

Reading the documentation I didn't find a way to solve this issue. Did I miss something?

I think this is a missing feature in buku.

Have you tried --offline? I personally would suggest specifying all the data you want recorded yourself.

That's a nice workaround, also you have a point there, since I'm making a personal collection of references, it make sense to customize all the needed metadata and what it's not needed just leave it empty. Thank you.

The flag `--offline` works; Yet, for title and description, buku does provide an option to override, even when the flag `--offline` is not utilized. I can use auto-fetch and fix title and description, but not tags, yet.

It's not an "override", it's a workaround intended for these options to have an effect at all without explicitly using --offline (which I believe wasn't implemented until fairly recently in the first place).

If you think that --tag should override fetched tags completely when creating a record (unless used with an explicit +), create a bug report.

Note that this should only be for addition of a new bookmark. --tag clears tags when updating.
